Sportiw and Team Chambé Launch “Champions de Demain”: A Global Program to Uncover Handball Talent

Handball is entering a new era of talent detection and development with “Champions of Tomorrow”, an innovative program launched by Team Chambé and Sportiw. Open to young players worldwide, this project allows anyone, regardless of background or visibility, to apply for the first global handball talent search.

A Pioneering Project at the Intersection of Training and Innovation

With Champions de Demain, Team Chambé combines its historic expertise in player development with cutting-edge technology from Sportiw, the international sports scouting platform active in over 200 countries with more than one million users.

The club, famous for producing handball legends like Daniel Narcisse, Bertrand and Guillaume Gille, and Melvyn Richardson, is the only club in the world to have developed three players crowned best players in the world: Stéphane Stoecklin, Bertrand Gille, and Daniel Narcisse.

Using advanced analytics and artificial intelligence from Sportiw, applications will be evaluated in a fair, objective, and transparent way before the final selection by Team Chambé’s coaching staff

A Clear, Rigorous, and Global Pathway

The program follows a structured process accessible to all:

  1. Global call for applications via the Sportiw platform

  2. Digital pre-selection using AI and analytics tools

  3. Final selection by Team Chambé staff

  4. Trials in Chambéry, with travel and accommodation covered

  5. Talent visibility through media coverage and communication activations

Each year, international talents will have the opportunity to experience a full immersion within the club, in a professional handball environment.

Sporting and Social Ambitions

Beyond performance, Champions de Demain aims to:

  • Promote equal opportunities in reaching the top level

  • Highlight youth and amateur sports

  • Encourage gender diversity and visibility of women’s handball

  • Foster mentorship and talent development

Through this initiative, Team Chambé and Sportiw aim to build a more open, inclusive, and forward-looking handball community.
