Igokea (Bosnia and Herzegovina) won the first-ever Youth Basketball Champions League title by defeating the host team Tofas 73-66! Back on this remarkable performance…
Launched this season by the BCL, the YBCL brought together 10 U18 teams from clubs present in the Champions League this season. The tournament was held in Tofas, Turkey. By defeating Oostende, Murcia, Nymburk, and Hapoel Jerusalem in the group stage, the players of Igokea secured their first-place and progressed to the semi-finals.
Then, they faced Rytas in the semi-finals and managed to overcome them. For the final, Igokea had to endure another dramatic showdown in their quest for the championship but finally been able to win against the Turkish club of Tofas (73-66)!
A successful first edition and we should see very nice future editions in the coming years…
